Comprehensive Sustainability

How sustainable is the E-Z Block manufacturing process?

Our plant is a small footprint facility with modest power needs and low noise output. It produces no waste and recycles its used water. Overall, it has a low impact on its surrounding environment.

Can E-Z Block Systems improve the sustainability of the construction process itself?

Yes, we can in several ways not available to other building methods. We eliminate a number of commonly used building materials from the building process completely. Examples include Styrofoam boards, vapor barriers, chicken wire, scratch coat, and fiberglass or spray-on foam insulation. For builders taking advantage of our ‘strong shell’ roofing and interior walls the list can also include dimensional lumber, drywall, rafters and trusses, plywood deck, shingles or tiles, and gutters.

Another unique way E-Z Block Systems can improve on the building process is by eliminating shipping costs for developers with multiple-house projects. Our plants are designed as semi-mobile units that can be shipped to location and set up in a day. The advantages of on-site production are numerous, including increased sustainability and lower cost.

How sustainable is an E-Z Block building?

E-Z Block building require less energy to heat and cool. They are strong, and resist damage from high winds, earthquakes, fire, and decay. Rather than succumb to the cycle of tear-down/rebuild E-Z Block structures provide generational stability.

Is the E-Z Block model economically sustainable?

Yes. More than ever. We have been in business for almost 20 years, laying groundwork, innovating, and building up experience. We have a solid licensing program and licensing partners who share our vision. Our processes and the ideas behind them are not merely academic, but are real-world tested and proved. They are not dependent on ideal circumstances to flourish. They are robust and scalable, and have proven so again and again.
